Mobile Infantry M-3 Tactical Helmet - Helmet Pads

While the Mobile Infantry M-3 Tactical Helmet is fairly comfortable, it is a wide helmet and of a "one-size-fits-all" design. For the production of Starship Troopers, helmets were customized with foam padding, especially at the temples and the top of the helmet to help combat fit issues.

One of the biggest issues is the helmet wobbling side-to-side due to its width. We have included two 3" foam pads that are .75" thick to place at the temples.

Another issue is that the helmet can sit to low on smaller heads, causing the brim of the helmet to cover the eyes. We have included a third 3" foam pad that is .75" thick to be placed in the top of the helmet, to help the helmet sit higher on the head.

Finally, in the opening scene of the film, when Johnny Rico is attacked by a bug, a pad just above the brim of his helmet can clearly be seen. We have included a curved pad that is .75" thick to be placed above the brim for extra comfort.

Our kit allows you to install these pads via VHB tape (included) or you can use hot glue for a more permanent installation. Either way, this is a great upgrade that will help make your Mobile Infantry M-3 Tactical Helmet fit YOU better.
